Among those tech innovations: a growing ecosystem of local partners, an API to ease transactions and requests management; a patent-pending appliance to connect legacy systems such as PMS to the cloud ; FIAS certification; multiple POS integrations and even more personalization for hotels’ guests. A total of 45,000 local activities and services to enhance travelers’ experiences
Day Experience, a tour and activity aggregator, distributing over 10,000 activities in 400 cities has recently joined Hotelcloud ecosystem and is now fully integrated. This new partner stands out by offering uncommon local experiences one can hardly find on Google.
Hotelcloud continues to add value to its growing customer base by offering a larger curated ecosystem of activities. As a reminder, Hotelcloud negotiates with each vendor a commission per booking, which is split with the order-originating app owner: typically a hotel or apartment group. Some Hotelcloud customers are now seeing up to 150% ROI with these commissions.
Hotelcloud web API available, easing transactions & request handling
Hotelcloud will officially release its web API (REST & Webhooks based), enabling any third party service providers to interface with Hotelcloud e-concierge applications. Through the API, hotels guests’ external orders can be handled seamlessly by partners’ booking systems. As always, payment still go through Hotelcloud PCI-Compliant infrastructure and commissions sharing is instant between parties. In addition, Hotelcloud announces it has integrated with over 300 web applications to easily integrate vendors operating flows, such as: Twilio, Google Calendar, Cloud CRM systems, Cloud accounting SaaS and many others.
A patent-pending appliance, bringing the benefits of the cloud to legacy systems
Hotelcloud will also present the HConnect, a proprietary technology, enabling any legacy hospitality software (FIAS protocol, HTNG or proprietary) to connect to the cloud. HConnect has been developed in order to solve a problem: Most PMS and POS used across the industry don’t have a web service API, and cannot be easily integrated with most modern cloud-based platforms The solution will, among other things, allow the automated provisioning of guests’ accounts, preference sharing between PMS and Hotelcloud, online check-out from the app and posting charges to guests bills.
Hotelcloud has finalized its interface with almost 40% of the commercialized POS (points of sales). Hoteliers equipped with these POS can now directly receive room service orders on their POS, triggering ticket printing in the kitchen. Through those integrations, Hotelcloud is looking to simplify processes and adjust to existing operations.
Hotelcloud will announce its FIAS certification, enabling interfaces with any PMS system distributed by Micros Fidelio. In 2013, Hotelcloud already finalized its 2-way OXI interface and was appointed as the exclusive e-concierge partner of Micros Fidelio France. This certification happens at a time of a great traction for Hotelcloud, being increasingly approached by large groups of hotels equipped with Micros systems. Those groups especially value Hotelcloud expertise in project management (hardware setup and maintenance, room control integrations...)
“My Favorites” enables travelers to personalize their experiences like never before. Guests can now tag as favorite any item in a Hotelcloud powered app that they want to access quickly in the future: maps, food menu, chat with hotel staff… Their preferences are saved in their cloud profile and accessible in one click throughout their stays. Hoteliers also have the opportunity to personalize their guests’ experiences by creating some pre-defined profiles. They can for example build a “romantic view” by tagging a bookable flower delivery service, selecting a set of romantic french restaurants or walks and share it with the lovers staying in their establishments! This feature is an addition to existing Hotelcloud staff-facing tools used by staff members to manage their relationship with guests.
